Lowes Foods will anchor this upcoming master-planned community in Mooresville, Cadia Village Mooresville. Pappas Properties says construction on the 52,000-square-foot store is slated to begin at Cadia Village Mooresville in the third quarter. A 2027 opening is expected.

Pappas Properties brings on former Harris Teeter real estate manager, as senior vice president of retail development. Maravetz will oversee site selection, acquisition, design, construction and leasing of Pappas Properties’ retail investments. The developer is building wellness-focused communities with retail villages in Matthews and Mooresville as well as other big projects in Charlotte.

Publix will anchor the 82-acre Cadia Matthews mixed-use development at Stallings and Idlewild roads. The grocery store will feature a full-service pharmacy with a drive-thru, Pappas said, and hire about 150 workers. Construction will begin next summer.
