Peter A. Pappas founded Pappas Properties in 1999 after seven years as partner at The Harris Group. While there, Pappas led his team in developing a number of successful projects including Phillips Place; Ballantyne, a 2,000-acre mixed-use community; Morrocroft, a 178-acre multi-use project; and 330 South Tryon. Prior to The Harris Group, Pappas was a vice president with The Bissell Companies and president of its land development subsidiary, Investment Mortgage Company.

Robert E. Branan joined Pappas Properties in January 2007 as Chief Financial Officer. Bob Branan most recently served as a leader in the Deloitte Carolinas Real Estate and Construction Industry practice serving both public and private companies. Additionally, he served as the practice leader of the Deloitte Carolinas Private Client Advisor group. Bob has over 22 years in public accounting with direct experience in the real estate and construction industries as well as serving high net worth individuals and business owners. He specializes in financial and income tax aspects of real estate transactions. Bob has assisted in the analysis and planning of numerous acquisition and development projects. Additionally, Bob’s experience includes five years with The Bissell Companies, Inc. with management responsibilities.

Bob has lectured on the tax implications of real estate investments as well as partnership operations and accounting. He has also served as a seminar instructor for tax accounting methods for construction contractors.

Fritz A. Rehkopf, Director of Design & Construction, was a practicing architect for over twenty years. He then spent sixteen years with Bovis Lend Lease, where he became Joint Managing Director of the Bovis Construction Group, responsible for the Asia Pacific region, an area including ten countries extending from Japan to Australia , China & Malaysia . His experience on major undertakings such as Canary Wharf in London makes him uniquely qualified to lead the construction design process of an unique mixed-use project. Fritz has also worked as an advisor/consultant to developers and companies in the USA and Europe . Fritz's educational credentials include a Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Kansas at Lawrence , Management of Planning and Design Firms, Harvard University, P&O Executive Seminar Program, Templeton College, Oxford University.

Stuart C. Proffitt, Vice President of Mixed Use Development, Proffitt previously worked on the Metropolitan Midtown development team and is currently directing all aspects of development on Pappas Properties’ Ashley Park Development, an 11.5 acre mixed use infill project in the South Park area of Charlotte. Proffitt is also looking for new infill opportunities for Pappas. Prior to joining Pappas in 2005 Proffitt was the Director of Development for Los Angeles-based Champion Development Group, where he was responsible for the acquisition, rezoning and development of five infill mixed use developments.

Proffitt also has experience in managing the leasing effort of more than 200k square feet of available retail space ranging from high-end retail and restaurants to big-box. After graduating cum laude from North Carolina State University, Proffitt received his MBA and Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. Recognized by Real Estate Southern California as one of the top "40 under 40, Rising Stars in Commercial Real Estate" in southern California (February 2005) Proffitt has also served as speaker on acquisitions and entitlements in USC’s Master of Real Estate Development program.

W. Martin Davis, VP Land Development, has experience in residential land development and construction.
Formerly with Landcraft Management, a regional residential development company, Davis, as Division Manager, was responsible for all site selection, land acquisition and development. His work involved land rezoning and annexation, major infrastructure, road construction and project development. His career covers small to mid-sized production-home developments as well as large-scale master-planned communities.

As Land Development Manager for Craft Development, a privately-owned regional land development company, Davis monitored civil engineering design and approval for residential subdivision and light commercial projects. His supervision of construction activities included soliciting bids, selecting contractors, negotiating contracts and resolving field-related issues. Davis’ career path has allowed him to experience all aspects of land development from managing contractor schedules and costs to landscaping and project control.
Davis holds a BS in Construction Science and Management graduating Cum Laude from Clemson University in 1993.
