Laurie is a CPA with twenty years’ experience in audit and finance, with the past sixteen years focused exclusively on real estate. She has been with Pappas Properties since 2002 where she oversees accounting and reporting for the company and the real estate joint ventures. She also has primary responsibility for Berewick, a one-thousand acre master planned community in South Charlotte. She is involved in the sales, marketing, financing and development for that key project.
Prior to coming to work for Pappas Properties, Laurie was with Crosland, Inc. for six years as Finance Manager and Corporate Controller. At Crosland, she was most heavily involved in the Commercial and Retail divisions as well as corporate finance. She was responsible for managing the accounting staff as well as financial analysis, reporting and communications with investors.
Upon graduation from Wake Forest University with a B.S. in Accounting, Laurie began her career as an auditor with KPMG, concentrating on health care and financial services.
